JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
- Performs maintenance on racetrack and turf courses as needed.
- Responsible for being knowledgeable about all machinery and equipment necessary to perform track and turf maintenance.
- Responsible for the direct supervision, evaluation, and training of the Track Crew.
- Responsible for knowledge of and adherence to Company and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
- Responsible to assist in the development and adhere to the guidelines of the departmental budget.
- Acts with utmost discretion and maintains confidentiality in handling all documentation and information, including team member files, information/reports.
- Responsible for interviewing applicants, issuing discipline & coaching at all levels, and evaluation of the Track Crew.
- Responsible for monitoring departmental payroll and attendance of the Track Crew.
- Establishes and maintains an excellent working relationship with all related departments.
- Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members and/or guests.
- Monitor guest behavior during assigned shift, and take the necessary actions for unruly guests.
- Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Five (5) years of experience with Dirt and Turf Tracks is required.
- Minimum Three (3) years Track Superintendent experience or equivalent required.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and a CDL license is preferred.
- Must be able to complete the background check.
- Must have strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Act with discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs.. without difficulty.
- Ability to bend, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp as needed.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Assignments covering large areas with long walking distances, Work areas could have high volumes, diverse clientele, and noise.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management is mandatory.
- Must be able to wear and appear comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park.
- Must be able to work in all weather elements, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
